I spent (invested) over $12,000 dollars searching for my online success; I tried every e-book I could find, the latest “greatest” strategy from so called “Guru’s” – You name it and I have tried it… fortunately, my day J-O-B provides me with a salary in excess of $380,000 per annum… So you’re probably wondering “so if you make all that cash what you doing cash gifting?” - freedom my friend FREEDOM; you see I’m a consultant in the utility industry and this means I’m on projects away from home; in fact I’ve worked away from home and more importantly my family for over three years, yup that’s 3 whole years only going home at weekends and when I have vacations… I know what I need to do to make changes and I'm working on my goals daily; are you? Ok, a bit about me... I'm 43, year old and live in a beautiful part of Scotland in the UK. I'm empowered to build a fantastic online business that will provide my family with a stunning lifestyle during our short time on this planet... I'm 100% committed to my quest to obtain financial independence and all that this brings, through consistent effort towards my goals and un-quenched thirst to learn and implement all systems and processes that will allow me to build a massive online business. I'm also 100% committed to helping others achieve their goals and lifestyle dreams through mentoring, close 1-on-1 training, simple easy to follow "point and click" systems, marketing, free tools and above all friendship... life is a short journey, better shared with good friends! I've been blessed in life by having a wonderful family; sure we didn't have much but my mother ensured I always strived to better myself and to give 100% of myself in all that I did. It was my mums belief in me that kept me pushing through the hard times, and there have been some real hard times.. Currently I work full time as a Consultant at a Utility Company, assisting them to implement a multi-million pound business change programme. Now don't get me wrong the money is fantastic, however, it comes at a price. I've worked away from my family for over three years now; that's three years where I have only been able to spend time with my family at weekends or on one of our many vacations. With the job also comes long hours and that dreaded curse S-t-r-e-s-s... Like many, I do suffer from stress and this is what drives me to build my online business to get away from this curse... Building my business and meeting and helping more and more people online is the best stress reliever in the World... You see, I love working on the internet as I can meet new people and share our life experiences together, offer support, ideas and tools to help each other on our journey and celebrate success together... I've had many jobs during my life and not all of then glamorous. I've worked as an apprentice engineer building tanks in the defence industry, I've made building bricks by hand, worked 12 hours shifts in a steel mill... until "I decided I can do better than this"! The strange thing is, once I decided I was going to do better, things just seemed to open up to me... I was drawn to a book "think and grow rich" by Napoleon Hill... I read that book cover to cover during my night-shifts at the steel mill... I carried it with me everywhere as I talisman to my success. Within months I had embarked on another career; I began selling fitted kitchens in the evening when i was working day shifts... yep after working from 5am to 5pm, I would come home get out of my factory clothes, get showered and put on my suit and go sell kitchens... I was working at least 16 hours a day but I just knew there was light at the end of it... By chance my mother couldn't baby-sit for her boss and my wife said she would do it... Susan was still babysitting when I finished selling that night so I went to pick her up... we had to wait for my mums boss to come home... this must have been fate... you see my mums boss and I began talking and he offered me a job right there out of the blue... not some manual job but that of a trainee manager for a large removal company... he told me "anyone willing to devote this much time and effort to better their lives and the lives of their family deserve a hand-up" Man, although I had been an amateur boxer, I can tell you I had to wipe a tear from my eye that night... Before I could join the company I had to meet with his area boss, this meant driving from my home in Newcastle Upon Tyne, England, to Glasgow Scotland ... some two and a half hours away... I hadn't driven to Scotland before and I wasn't sure if my car would make it... as it happens my car nearly didn't make it, it broke down three times on the way up and I had to stop regularly to fill up my radiator! Luckily I had left early as I had a feeling there may be a few problems on the road up... So I get to the office and the huge man sits me down and begins interrogating me... I was shaking in my boots as I knew I was so close to changing my life forever... right there in that office was the light I had been searching for. I was only twenty three years of age... I had been working in manual labour from the age of sixteen had calluses and hands of a man many years older; but here in this office was my chance to "do better"... Fortunately this man too was impressed with my hard work and determination, he put it down to my boxing training and my determination over the years to beat the bullies and doubters in my life... Whatever it was he offered me the job there and there, right there in that office I had finally broken away from my life in factories, dangerous machines, dust filled, unhealthy environments offering little hope...BUT!! The salary he offered me was half of what I was earning in the factory... I simply couldn't survive on the money he was offering. I hadn't been married long, I had bought a house and a car (well old heap of junk)... How could I possibly accept, how would I survive... Right there I was watching my dream slip away from me, I felt like I was drowning, sinking deeper under the ocean... I was so close but could not grasp it...then...some magical powerful force seemed to well up inside me, I felt empowered, confident, invincible even... and I heard these words (to this day I don't know where they came from) "I'll take the job providing I can finish each day at 5pm and as long as I can continue to sell kitchens in the evening. If you allow me this I promise you I will become one of your best trainees and I will become a manager of one of your branches within one year". He began to laugh at me, I felt uncomfortable as he then told me "it takes three to four years for a top grade student to become a manager in this organisation, heck it took me three and a half years... yet you think you can do it within one?" YES I replied, my inner belief and confidence still strong "I will become a manager within one year and I bet you £50 ($100 approx) which is a lot of money to me now you have effectively halved my income, I know I can do it as I'm prepared to do whatever it takes to do it. I will work harder than anyone and study as if my life depended on it; I will be that manager". Well, within 10 months of joining that company I was relief manager at a branch in a remote part of Scotland. I was standing in for another manager whilst he was on holiday. I got a phone call to drive down to Newcastle Upon Tyne urgently, some three and a half hours (this time I was in a company car!). I got to Newcastle Airport Hotel, where I met my mums boss and my area manager who had a concerned look on his face; I was sure I was going to get fired! We sat through our meal hardly speaking, after which the area manager handed my an official looking envelope, my heart dropped, this was it they were sacking me... I nervously opened the envelope, my hands trembling as I did so; and there it was, I felt the tears build up in my eyes... In my hand I held a crisp, brand new £50 note... I had done it I had become a manager not in twelve months but a whole month earlier... I was to be given the management position of the Carlisle branch on the border between England and Scotland. My dream had come true... I had achieved what I had set out to achieve, I had accomplished what many had told me was impossible, what is more I even managed to get money off a Scotsman! You know that's not the end of the story; on the very day I was to take over the branch, my wife gave birth to our first child, my beautiful son Callum. That date I will never forget, as if to remind me forever, god had chosen to delay the birth of my son until 5am Tuesday 8th December 1987... This success drives me daily and hopefully it will inspire you to not accept anything but the best from yourself and drive you to achieve your hopes, dreams and aspirations. I hope you enjoyed the first part of my story; there have been many chapters since, not all happy chapters; however, here I sit today in my $500,000 home, two new SAAB's on the driveway, one of which is the top of the range Sports Convertible... I've lived a life that has allowed me to own a Porsche, many, many beautiful cars and to travel to some fantastic places around the World.
