I am a lawyer by training and worked a number of years in the NZ Government, until my father died of leukaemia and I moved onto the family's small farm rather than sell it. I work on the Internet and look after the farm and animals, including Boer goats, a horse and some Kunekune pigs. By chance I was introduced by a friend ro Rare Breeds Poultry, and I thoroughly enjoy the breeding and showing involved with these fantastic birds. My Blog is all about the crazy goings-on around my animals and birds.
When I gave up the law, I decided to turn to my creative side, which had been burning on the sidelines all my life. I now freelance in Graphics and Webdesign, both on and off the net, and do art when I can fit it in. My Graphics and Webdesign Portal Site is at http://thegrafix.biz
I am a committed Christian, but hopefully not "religious". I have a Christian outreach site at http://damascus-road.info and I'm currently studying with the Business Leadership School of Strategic Christian Services - Click Here

General
Art, photography, animals, outdoors, hiking, environment, small farming, internet, graphics, webdesign, archaeology, christian. When I worked in government in our capital city Wellington, I spent my weekends in the high country around the southern end of the North Island, and in the top half of the South Island. There is some beautiful country in New Zealand and a number of my friends were amateur botanists and geologists, as well as hunters. The outdoors means a lot to me, and I miss the high mountains up here where I now live.

Music
All sorts - pop, some rock, latin. Christian - it has to be good music, not just noise. I used to pick guitar in my teens and wish I han't given it up - so - I have just started to teach myself keyboards a la piano - something I've always wanted to do.. Partly for Christian music, but also very much for some of my fave 70's and 80's pieces from Creedence Clearwater, Fleetwood Mac, Springsteen, Clapton and the Eagles .

Movies
Documentaries, especially animals and archaeology - don't watch many "story" movies - too busy.

Books
Mostly non-fiction. Books about the geography, natural history, flora and fauna of New Zealand. Photography books of our wonderful NZ countryside. My bookshelves are crammed with them. Bible study books - my favourite is "Doing Business God's Way" byDennis Peacocke because it is hugely relevant to how we live and do business in this world.. Another great book is "Revolution in World Missions" by KP Yohannen. It carries the flavor of the early Christian church, before we humans turned church into a religion.. Plus THE BIBLE, of course...."'The Bible isn't a textbook on economics' (or science, or law, or government, or anything else but salvation). True enough. It isn't a textbook on any one of these things. It's a textbook on all of them, and everything else in life, and it doesn't read like a textbook, systematically treating each thing in isolation, because it was inspired by a God who made all of life interwoven so that everything affects everything else." (Thank you, Dennis Peacocke).
